| This converter supports Bruker ATS FT-IR binary
files from the Aspect 2000 or 3000 data stations. These files must be transferred from the
Aspect computer to a PC and renamed with a *.bir file extension before submission. File
transfer can be accomplished by using an RS-232 serial cable and communication software
that supports the Kermit protocol. Bruker offers a version of Kermit software for the
Aspect computer. Contact Bruker for more information on file transfer from the Aspect
